     While Dr. Bheem Rao Ambedkar was in England his Wife Rama Bai had Gone through great hardships.There was a period when the entire family survived on 60 or70 paise earned by her brother and sister as daily wage workers. Some Untouchability social organisations had offered to Collect funds for the famiy But Rama Bai had refused to Accept any Help.

  After his return, Some organisation wanted to Accord reception and to honour Dr. Ambedkar But he didn't Accept It. He did not like to be celebrated prematurely There was lot Of Hard Work to be Done.

His First priority Was to become financially stable and viable. He Started His legal practise in July, 1933 in Mumbai high Court. Due to
Caste factore Solicitor were not extenmding their full support to Dr. Ambedkar So, He had to take Cases of the Districts court Also. Inspite Of hardships, he did not become assistant to any big Name lawer, He  depended on his own ability. He knew the good time will Come.

 Dr. Ambedkar received some good job offers but he refused to Accept  them. He Said, "I did not Educate myself merely to get a High Salary Job. My Sole ambition was to Carry on The Struggle for getting Justice to the Untouchables And backward people. Serving their Cause is My Mission."

 On 20th July, 1924 'Untouchables Welfare Society' Was setup Under the Presidentship Of  Dr. Sir Chiman Lal Sitalwad.

 Three Upper Caste Members Were nominated  as Vice Presidents. Dr. Ambedkar himself was the Chairman of The Working Committee. Other 16 Backwards and Untouchables Became the Trustees.

 The Society Organised 'Untouchable Assemblies' to stress the need for eradication of untouchability and the upliftment of backward Classes. 'Mumbai Province Untouchable Assembly' Was held at Barsi in Sholapur District. In his Presidential Address Ambedkar Said, "The condition of untouchables in our Society is Pathetic.  The Country is Slave but the slavery Of the Untouchables is Worse than that Of The Country. The Freedom Of the Country would make sense only when theuntouchables Are Given Freedom First By the society. The downtrodden must get Justice and to get justice we need Organisation like This Society to Carry on the struggle."

 The Assemblies were held in other districts Also. Dr.Ambedkar's Assembly in his Own City was a big floap. It was attended by mere 5-6 workers. The people watched from their windows and Door Steps with distintrest. Some People even made Fun of it.

    But The idea of Assembly caught on. More and More people began attending these meetings.              Dr. ambedkar  remarked, "Gandhiji is Giving great importance to Khadi and The Hindu-Muslim Unity. But he does not Give same importance to Upliftment of the Untouchables
